City of Brush! Municipal Election 2011

The City of Brush! will be participating in a coordinated election conducted by the Morgan County Clerk and Recorder. Ballot questions and three City Council seats will be on the ballot for the November 1, 2011 election.

“SHALL THE CITY OF BRUSH TAXES BE INCREASED BY $100,000 THE FIRST FULL FISCAL YEAR (2012) AND BY WHATEVER AMOUNTS ARE RAISED ANNUALLY THEREAFTER THROUGH THE IMPOSITION AND ASSESSMENT OF AN ADDITIONAL TAX IN THE AMOUNT OF FIVE PERCENT (5%) OF THE GROSS TAXABLE SALE AMOUNT PAID OR CHARGED FOR PURCHASING MEDICAL MARIJUANA, MEDICAL MARIJUANA PARAPHERNALIA, AND MEDICAL MARIJUANA-INFUSED PRODUCTS IN THE CITY OF BRUSH, TO BE USED 50% FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF ATHLETIC FIELDS AND PARKS AND 50% FOR GENERAL MUNICIPAL PURPOSES; AND SHALL ALL REVENUES DERIVED FROM SUCH TAX BE COLLECTED AND SPENT AS A VOTER APPROVED REVENUE CHANGE NOTWITHSTANDING ANY REVENUE OR EXPENDITURE LIMITATIONS CONTAINED IN ARTICLE X, SECTION 20 OF THE COLORADO CONSTITUTION?”
