The Brush Police Department is headed by Chief Mark Thomas and comprised of 12 officers including command staff, a Code Enforcement Officer and two support staff.  Currently there are three divisions:

Administrative Services - Records, Municipal Court Operations, Training, and the Chaplaincy Program.

Community Services - Patrol Operations, Code Enforcement, Animal Control and Shelter, Traffic Programs, and other community contact and prevention services.

Investigative Services - External, Internal, and Special Investigations; cooperative investigative networking with other law enforcement entities.

Our Department  has an agreement with the Fort Morgan Police Department and the Morgan County Sheriff's Department concerning the joint purchase and use of a radar speed warning trailer.

Our patrol officers generally work an eight hour shift and are assigned to various shifts 24 hours a day.  Schedule flexibility allows for training, investigative services, and directed patrol.

Other services provided by our Department include VIN inspections, personal property identification, bicycle and animal licensing, vehicle unlocks, Emergency Management, and crime prevention talks for the public.
