Water Operator

 Water Operators are responsible for the construction, maintenance and repair of the water system which provides service to Brush. Some of the duties include: performs work in the construction, maintenance and repair of lines, hydrants, wells, lift station, booster pump, tanks, control systems and dosing equipment; cuts asphalt, digs trenches, back fills and tamps; installs taps, mains, valves, tees and crosses; locates valves and underground lines; flushes water systems; reads meters; collects samples and assists in keeping records.

WATER OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION


Water Operator  with a C Level Water License

$19.71 to $23.49/hr. DOQ

WATER OPERATOR C LICENSE JOB DESCRIPTION


Water Planner
IMMEDIATE OPENING!
$18.28/$28.00 hour Depending on Qualifications/Experience
Operator C License or higher required. 

Water Planner/Deputy Foreman main responsibility within the City of Brush will be for the Coordination of Water Projects, Water Accounting, Daily Review of SCADA, Management of City Water Portfolio, Review of City Water Usage, Attend Regional Water Meetings, Attend Ditch Meetings, Install Water Service, Install Water Mains.

WATER PLANNER JOB DESCRIPTION





IMMEDIATE OPENING - Police Officer

A Brush Police Officer:  protects the lives, safety, and property of individuals by enforcing ordinances, statutes, and laws; patrols within corporate limits to deter illegal activity and to protect and preserve the safety and security of individuals, property, buildings, and neighborhoods; completes reports in a clear and accurate manner; responds to dispatch calls and investigates citizen complaints and reported breaches of the peace; prepares summons necessary to charge individuals with violations of ordinances and statutes; makes arrests and takes suspects into custody including reading of rights, interrogation, search, booking, and transport of individuals to holding and jailing facilities; appears in court and other hearings to offer testimony; attends and participates in assigned training sessions; inspects and maintains equipment; follows Police Dept policies in addition to the City of Brush Personnel Policies; and performs other duties as assigned. 

$42,538 / yr. plus excellent benefits and FPPA retirement plan
Must be POST Certified in either Colorado or acceptable out of state equivalent.

POLICE OFFICER JOB DESCRIPTION


IMMEDIATE OPENING - Street Dept. Maintenance

Full Time
12.39/hr w/ excellent benefits
Requires class B CDL
(Must possess or train and obtain CDL within 6 months)

Position consists mostly of physical labor:  crack sealing and patching asphalt, trimming and removing trees, installing traffic signs, mowing, painting curbs, parking stalls, and traffic lane markers, shoveling dirt, asphalt and broken concrete, and setting concrete. 
Occasionally operates equipment and trucks. 
This is an entry level position which offers great experience to be gained in street maintenance!

IMMEDIATE OPENING - Restaurant Cook

The Course Café is a full-service restaurant at The Course at Petteys Park, one of northeast Colorado’s finest 9 hole golf courses.  

$12.00/hr to start
Part-time (fewer than 30 hrs./wk)

Duties include:   preparing and cooking food as directed; completing preparatory side work such as washing and cutting produce and pre-cooking or baking some items; cleaning food preparation areas, work stations, cooking surfaces, and dishes; cleaning, stocking, rotating stock, and restocking work stations and coolers; following sanitation guidelines and maintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards; assisting in receiving, verifying, and putting away deliveries; and all other duties as assigned. 

The position is open until filled.


IMMEDIATE OPENING - Wait Staff


Seasonal, part time
$9.23/hr. plus tips

Greets, waits on, and serves customers food and beverages; cleans, stocks, rotates stock, and restocks workstations and coolers; completes preparatory side work; responsible for enforcing and complying with all applicable liquor laws; cleans areas accessible by customers promptly; assists in set up and clean up the bar, dining room, and decks prior to and following events; performs general cleaning of facilities as assigned; accepts and handles cash receipts accurately; responsible for accurately and completely balancing the register; collects, washes, and puts away dishes as instructed; and assists with inventory as assigned.

Minimum of 21 years of age and at least 3 years of customer service preferred. Must obtain TIPS Alcohol Certification within 3 months of hire (City will provide the training).
